Is there any other way into this industry other than buying books or departing with large sums of cash?
I know there will be people out there who might think that comment offensive (to whom I apologise), you might say if I really want to get somewhere then I will be prepared to invest money to get started. But my fear is that even after having spent the money that I may not get anything out of it at the end of the day. I know in this life we have to take risks, but I don't really have the cash to burn so to speak!
I feel I have a very good clear speaking voice and would like to use this to good effect and work for me.
However isn't there anywhere that is interested in simply auditioning people without having to buy books or make up cd's?
